    When the temperature starts rising, visitors of all ages will enjoy Splash Zone Waterpark, a favorite summer playground located within James Island County Park. This seasonal attraction provides hours of fun and recreation for the entire family.

    Height Restrictions
    200-foot open and tube slides: Must be at least 42″ tall. Those between 42″-48″ must slide with someone over 48.”
    Rainforest slides: Minimum height of 42″ for enclosed slides and 36″ for open slides. No lap riding. No tubes, mats, life jackets, face masks, or footwear are permitted on the slides.

    Greenview Park is a multi sport complex that offers recreational amenities inside and outside of the park. The park consists of multiple ball fields, 9-court tennis facility, outdoor swimming pool, walking trail, playground area and a picnic shelter. Indoor amenities consists of a game room, multiple meeting rooms that include a ceramics room, computer room, teen room, three meeting rooms, full size kitchen, fitness room and a gymnasium that seats 299 persons.

    The Charles R. Drew Wellness Center is a complete workout facility providing programs designed not only to get you active now, but to keep you active for many years to come. Choose from a wide range of classes and amenities to suit your fitness needs and goals. Membership fees include use of the pool, fitness area, group exercise classes, gym, and discounted rates on special events and classes.

    Amenities:
    • Indoor 8 lane 25 – meter pool starting at 3 feet to 8 feet at the deep end
    • Cardio equipment i.e. treadmills, elliptical trainers and upright bikes
    • Two half courts, 6 basketball goals, with athletic flooring
    • ADA accessible equipment
    • Locker rooms and lockers (bring your own lock)

    Memberships that were current at the time of shut down will be extended for the time missed.
    Stop by the Front Desk on your first visit to fill out new paperwork.
    Social Distancing & Masks are required throughout the building.
    Max Capacity of 60 people in the Wellness Center at one time
    Pool Area: 25 people. Bring your own towels & water equipment. Showers are open.
    Gymnasium: 25 people
    Fitness Area Upstairs: 10 people. Mask required. 15 years & up. Bring your own mat.
    Group Exercise Classes
    Bring your own mats & yoga equipment. Hand weights provided.
    For your safety: The pool is subject to close if there are not enough lifeguards on duty.
    We are currently in need of Lifeguards. According to DHEC standards, we need two lifeguards on duty at all times to remain open.
    More Water Aerobics classes are coming soon. We are looking to hire Water Aerobics Instructors.

    Have fun at Hopkins Park! There is always something fun going on at this community park. From summer camps, swimming pools, softball, baseball and football games, kids and families are always enjoying the recreation center. Parents and grandparents can also enjoy the near by Hopkins Park Adult Activity Center.

    Visit a piece of RCRC history. Trenholm Park was the very first park opened by the Richland County Recreation Commission back in 1968. The park offers programs and services that enrich the quality of life for persons of all ages and abilities. Children who participate benefit from a safe and positive family oriented environment.

    Adults benefit from services that improve health and wellness through diverse recreational opportunities that enhance the overall well-being. This 10.7-acre facility includes a recreation building with a gym, game room, club room; eight lighted tennis courts; playground; swimming pool and newly renovated pool house; a lighted Little League baseball field; lighted Little League softball field; football/soccer field; picnic facilities with shelter.
