Gadsdenboro Park is located on Concord Street across from the Charleston Maritime Center and near the South Carolina Aquarium. Formerly called Concord Park, this is a vast public green space with sports fields and a host of amenities, including a walking path, nautical-themed playground, game tables, a bocce court and public restrooms.

The park also features two large picnic shelters that are perfect for family cookouts and gatherings. Garners Ferry Sports Complex

RCRC’s only sports complex spans over 41 acres, just off of Garners Ferry Road. Just a few minutes from I-77, this is complex has a picnic shelter, playground, outdoor restrooms and several multi-use fields. Kelly Mills Sports Complex

The Kelly Mill Sports Complex is a new 35 acre sports complex to include 4 baseball fields, a multipurpose field, one central two-story concessions building with press boxes and restrooms, a walking trail (approximately ½ mile), irrigation, a custom playground system with rubberized fall surface, a maintenance building, lighted paved parking, and a batting warm-up area with cages.

One of our most popular parks, located just off of I-20 is always hopping! The local neighborhoods enjoy a gym, kitchen, weight room, racquetball courts and classrooms. The baseball fields got a face-lift this year with the addition of a new concession stand with a media box. All of the fields have lights and Meadowlake Park is the only recreation center that has a full walking track with lights. The two tennis courts have been resurfaced and the nearby playground and picnic shelter is perfect for family get togethers.

Located on one of the main thoroughfares in Northeast Columbia, North Springs Park covers almost 30 acres with baseball, softball, football & soccer fields, lighted tennis courts, playground, and picnic facilities. The recreation center has a gym, two racquetball courts, and several meeting rooms.

Children benefit from activities that promote reducing childhood obesity, encourage good sportsmanship and, enhance cognitive development. Owens Field Park

This outdoor skate park is located at 1351 Jim Hamilton Blvd. next to Owens Field Airport in downtown Columbia. The 15,000 square-foot park features a street plaza, stairs, metal plated rails, and “pool” bowls ranging in depth from 4-to-12 feet.

Pads are required. The skate park is free and open to skateboards, in-line skates and bicycles.
The Owens field park has restrooms and a canteen area. A variety of outdoor sports take place at the park, which includes an 18-hole disc golf course, 12 regulation size soccer fields for all ages, and 3 T- Ball fields for youth play. Other sports that take place at the park consist of rugby, Pop Warner Football, Cross Country Track and Ultimate Frisbee League.
