    Hampton Park is located in the Brandon Acres and Cedar Terrace communities located off Garners Ferry Road and West of Interstate I-77. The park has a pond, two tennis courts, youth baseball field, full size basketball court and a spray pool. The facility has a sun porch for a relaxing outdoor experience with lots of shade.The facility is heavily used to house our summer camp and after school programs.

    Meadowlake Park offers programs and services that enrich the quality of life for persons of all ages and abilities. Quality services, fun, in a safe and structured environment is what we provide to all of our patrons that visit Meadowlake Park.

    One of our most popular parks, located just off of I-20 is always hopping! The local neighborhoods enjoy a gym, kitchen, weight room, racquetball courts and classrooms. The baseball fields got a face-lift this year with the addition of a new concession stand with a media box. All of the fields have lights and Meadowlake Park is the only recreation center that has a full walking track with lights. The two tennis courts have been resurfaced and the nearby playground and picnic shelter is perfect for family get togethers.

    Located on one of the main thoroughfares in Northeast Columbia, North Springs Park covers almost 30 acres with baseball, softball, football & soccer fields, lighted tennis courts, playground, and picnic facilities. The recreation center has a gym, two racquetball courts, and several meeting rooms.

    The park offers programs and services that enrich the quality of life for all ages and abilities. Children benefit from activities that promote reducing childhood obesity, encourage good sportsmanship and, enhance cognitive development. Adults benefit from services that increase community awareness and improve health and wellness. North Springs Park also offers classes like martial arts, archery, Zumba, dance and gymnastics. During Halloween, the park is also the home of the super scary Terror in the Park haunted house where the ghosts and goblins came out for a bit of frightening mischief!

    Martin Luther King Jr. Park

    This Park is located in the heart of the Five Points business district. It also is home to three communities that make up the Waverly Neighborhood of communities. The park has a baseball field, playground area for all ages and large outdoor space that features many events throughout the year (i.e. Summer Jazz Festival, St. Patrick’s Day Celebration). The Park is also home to the Stone of Hope in Honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The community center has a full size basketball court, exercise room, game room, meeting rooms, computer room, kitchen, ceramic room and a computer room with WIFI capabilities.

    Greenview Park is a multi sport complex that offers recreational amenities inside and outside of the park. The park consists of multiple ball fields, 9-court tennis facility, outdoor swimming pool, walking trail, playground area and a picnic shelter. Indoor amenities consists of a game room, multiple meeting rooms that include a ceramics room, computer room, teen room, three meeting rooms, full size kitchen, fitness room and a gymnasium that seats 299 persons.

    Check out the new facility at Bluff Road Park! This 20,000 square foot facility is complete with a huge gymnasium, meeting rooms, classrooms, a ceramics room, and a kitchen.     Melvin Park is named in honor of Brinkley Melvin’s parents, Henry and Harriett Melvin and is operated by the Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission.

    The 2018 Melvin Park Splash season will officially begin on Saturday, April 28, 2018.

    This 5000 sq. ft. facility has a large open lobby, two meeting rooms, a large meeting room, a fully equipped kitchen, ball field, basketball court and a playground. The Community Center will be available to hold meetings, receptions, fun community events, rentals and will have some programming available to the public.     Woodland Park has tennis courts, picnic tables, a baseball diamond and a playground as well as a community center.
    The playground has been renovated recently- the play equipment is in excellent condition. This is a very neat play structure with lots of different climbing activities. The area is not shaded but the surrounding grassy area has plenty of shade, including the swings which are separate from the rest of the play structure.
    Water and restrooms are available in the community center as well as a gymnasium. The community center has computers with internet access.

    Owens Field Park

    This outdoor skate park is located at 1351 Jim Hamilton Blvd. next to Owens Field Airport in downtown Columbia. The 15,000 square-foot park features a street plaza, stairs, metal plated rails, and “pool” bowls ranging in depth from 4-to-12 feet.

    Pads are required. The skate park is free and open to skateboards, in-line skates and bicycles.
    The Owens field park has restrooms and a canteen area. A variety of outdoor sports take place at the park, which includes an 18-hole disc golf course, 12 regulation size soccer fields for all ages, and 3 T- Ball fields for youth play. Other sports that take place at the park consist of rugby, Pop Warner Football, Cross Country Track and Ultimate Frisbee League.
